The other night I spent 2 hours trying on clothes at a friend’s place. (A beautiful line of high-quality well-made clothes)
It didn’t have any intention of spending that much time there! Eep!
I had lots of points of view about styles and colours. Haha! No conclusions there!!
I don’t wear that colour, not sure about that style, that’s not going to fit!! etc.. etc…
So surprising when you let go of fixed points of view and give things a whirl. You know…just let go and relax and be open to new things…
So… I let go and had some fun…
Some pieces looked amazing! Surprise surprise! I tried on new colours, new styles and had a few laughs when some pieces were so not the look on me… tee hee…
And this was just with clothes.
How many places do we have fixed points of view about things in our life. Things we decide we will never do, or will never like. Are those points of view even ours? Were they bought from when we were little or was it our parents, peeps and everyone else’s point of view at one time…like eons ago?
Whan we just lower our barriers, relax and try some things on, just to see. Like try on a new activity, try a new food or drink. Just because you have never liked it before, or never even tried it at all before….what if this time it is different, having let go, just for a minute and just try it on….give it a go…
I wonder how many places you would see and have things be different? And how much freedom that opens up for you!
This is a place where I play a lot… letting go of points of view and seeing what can show up different, and splurging into the new possibilities, new experiences and new flavours of life!!
It’s just tasting life in different ways, and if it doesn’t work for you, that’s ok. You can say you tried it and you can make another new choice. In fact, you can keep making new choices every 10 seconds.
It can be that easy if you so choose…..
Here’s to trying new clothes, things, flavours and whatever else lights you up!
What just popped in my head today as I was chatting with a friend, is that I did not have many body judgments when I was trying those clothes on. I actually said that the mirror I was using was very flattering…mmmm or was it me not seeing all the judgments of me in the mirror?
That is so freeing!! I wonder when I lost a lot of those judgments?
I’m so grateful for the tools of Access consciousness™ that allows me to get free of so much, judgments, points of view and so much more.
Now to try something new today… I wonder what I can choose?
